I'm back.

Now that I had a vacation...

I totally need a vacation.

Like I always say: A vacation with kids is no vacation at all. 

True DAT!

Anyway.

I'm beat. Gonna sleep my weekend away. 

I will be back bright and early Monday morn' with more vacation deets. 

Like the sled dog ride Gunner and I took that I'm pretty sure permanently scarred him for life. In the words of our *musher: "That was by far the craziest and most scary thing that has ever happened to me."

But of course it was. 

Because I was there. 

And then on the way home, my mom and I stopped at an old abandoned Methodist church and this happened...

...and there was totally an antichrist symbol spray painted inside which freaked me out just a little.

Pretty sure it's a miracle that I'm still alive.

Amen.

I've been on a few caribbean slash tropical vacations, and for some reason, a ski cabin retreat in the woods with gobs of snow seems to kind of take the cake. I'm not sure if it's the weather, the lodge-style escape or the people. The family.

I'm passing out here in a few. Have to be up and at 'em in the morning. The grandparents are watching the bambinos and this momma is taking the day to snowboard with my sister and cousins.

A few things...

I've totally been obsessed with instagram lately. Even finding older pictures and instagram-ing them. My favorite effects are definitely the Sierra and Waldon. Want to follow me? I've been THEE world's worst blogger friend lately. I do want you to know that I read your blogs, trust me.  I've just been in a somewhat commenting rut for a bit. Does that ever happen to you? I'll be back in no time though. Also, if you emailed me and haven't heard back yet, I'm on it! Pinky promise. I love getting your emails and connecting with ya'll in that way.



Oh yeah, did you notice my new blog layout? Again? I just can't keep with one concept. Maybe that's why I change my layout so much, change my hair so much, would love to change my husband so much if it wasn't so frowned upon in society. What? You know you think it sometimes too. And yes, I do my own blog layouts. A few of you have asked if I do it myself and yes, yes I do. However, I do not think I am a "pro" at it in any means, and I google the shit out of everything just to figure out how the heck to work with the html code. I also worked for my dad at his magazine publishing business so I am pretty familiar with photoshop that way, and a lot of it is just learn as I go.



Well, all our bags are packed (yeah right) and we're ready to go. Go where you ask? Why, to the North Pole of course! Ok not really, but anyone name that movie? We are heading five hours south to Bend, Oregon, where we will be meeting up with gobs of family to relax, visit, eat, drink, and of course, ski at the amazing Mt. Bachelor ski resort.

You can expect a lot more of this from me when I get home.
